Short and intense week

This week is going to be real short and intense. On monday, I worked like a busy bee, and in the evening me and my boyfriend went to the movies (we saw Clash of the titans). On tuesday it was meetings, a little work, a long lunch with a good friend, then some errands at town, then some more work, then some more errands, then home - where I watched The tale of the two cities. No rest for the wicked...

Today I'm going to work my ass off, it's the last workday for me in the week since I am going on a seminar in Göteborg tomorrow, and then I take friday off. You see, since I have to be in Göteborg really early, I have to get up at four in the morning. And afterwards, I get home at about ten in the evening.

Oh, and this friday I'm renovating the apartment, on my day off.

Oooh it's good to be alive!!

27 dresses

Okay, I lost my english there for a while... But now I'm back on track! :))

I've just seen a chic flick called 27 dresses. It's about Jane, an eternal bridesmaid who's been obsessing about weddings since she was eight. She's a girl who's afraid to say now, always pleases other and never thinks about herself. She's in love with her boss, whom she always goes out of her way to assist in every way, while he doesn't seem to notice her. In her home she has kept all the 27 bridesmaid dresses she has had, along with a bunch of sappy wedding articles from the famous wedding-reporter Malcolm Doyle. Basically, she's dreaming about the wedding she wants but never have the time to make it happen.



On one of her bridesmaid-missions, she mets Kevin, a cynical man whom belives weddings are blowned out of porportions now-a-days, with all them bridezillas and the craze surrounding the wedding (the presents, the details, the big consumption of wedding related stuff...). She immediately loaths him, and tries to do everything to get rid of him, but he's intrigued by her.  Things arent going the way Jane wants them to go, and in the midst of all this, her egocentric sister swoops in and steals her beloved boss right in front of her. Soon, Jane is stuck planning the wedding of her dream, between her sister and the man she loves...

This is a good movie about life, love and learning to say NO. What I really like about is (and so many other chic flicks) is the moment when everything she has built up seems to be tumbling down, and she has to rebuild herself in a new fashion. Maybe she has had a revelation, an epiphany or some other strange thought, just some sort of moments where she herself just has had enough and realises she needs to prioritize herself. And when things are set in motion, all you get is this feel-good-feeling about it. Okay, maybe it's not what she had in mind or dreamed about, but it's on the way of becoming her perfect life.... :)

Vampire diaries

Det är det nya svarta. Från början tyckte jag inte om serien, då verkade den bara köra på tonårsångest och popmusik, men nu har den fått en bunt invecklade och fartfyllda storylines fyllda med spännande karaktärer, mysterier, romantik och självklart litet vanlig vampyrångest... Den gode Stephan är inte så rättrådig längre och psykopatiska Damon är inte så ondskefull... Elena är fortfarande alldeles för sockersöt för min smak, men där finns potential...

Jag är nu på avsnitt 18, det senaste som kommit ut. Går och lägger mig nu när det inte finns något att se vidare på och hoppas att någon har skapat 10 nya avsnitt tills imorgon. Until then!

Åh vad pinsamt

Jag brukar vara litet kvällstrött, men ikväll somnade jag efter middagen och vaknade 23.00. Fredagsmys, vart tog du vägen?? Nåja, hann med litet Ransom med Mel Gibson i a f.

Veterinären II

Hade en till tur med katterna till veterinären idag för att dubbla dosen antikroppar i blodet så snuvmedicinen verkar. Det gick ungefär lika bra som... tja, tänk er om någon skulle stoppa in er i en bur och ta er till en spindelfarm. Just så...

Aska var så rädd så hennes öron glödde illrosa. Stackars lillflickan.. :(

Veterinären var dock snäll med henne och efter ett litet stick fick hon åka ned i buren igen. Då försökte hon kliva upp på min rygg igen, tokiga kisse. Hon avskyr verkligen den där buren... :(

Nu har vi föresten överlevt påsken. Det blev litet renoverat och så såg jag en säsong av Star Trek Enterprise. Nu i helgen är det sluttampen på renoveringen!

Påsk-pynt

Det har inte blivit något björkris, fjädrar eller målade ägg (det kanske jag pysslar med någon dag under påsken) men däremot har jag pyntat med påskliljor och penséer. Var på Vellingeblomman i förra helgen på deras Påskparad å så hittade jag litet andra påskaktiga saker (ljusen och kycklingen med kronan). Det är trevligt att förnya sig ibland, och resultatet är helt klart godkänt. Eller vad tycker ni? =)

Mitt första olivträd!

Croatia and Crazy Cats

Seems like I'm going to Croatia this june, to sail on a big boat. :)

Me and my boyfriend has a group of friends from Luleå who are skippers/skippers by association. One of them has rented a boat who will take us sailing the adriatic sea.

Seems like the adventures of Fia has not come to a total stop, it's just been on pause for the winter season. :)

I can also inform you that the cats have survived the trip to the vet, all though Aska made a sound that sounded like a ambulance siren all the way to the station. And after the visit, I got some pills to calm the other cat Sota down (she's been a bit hormonal lately even though she's castrated). She ended up veeery mellow. In fact, she was soo lazy, when she went to rest, she didn't care enough to walk all the way to her spot but laid down on her sister. I don't know what's better, having a miaoing cat or a indifferent cat.

Beach 2010

Wrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooom, and the weeks passed like a racecar. It's quite difficult to summarize what's going on right now, but in short terms:

Spring is on it's way, so I remind myself that beach 2010 soon is here. That means I have to loose all my "winter stuffing", a.k.ka make myself slightly thinner so I can wear all my lovely summerdresses. I've started working out (ok, I've started walking short distanses very fast), cut some calories, and most important of all, bought a decent pair of jeans that fits perfectly so I can feel comfortable. I've had problems finding jeans for quite a while... So now I'm  happy about that.

An unrelated thing, my cats are going on a trip to the vet next monday. Sota has got a swollen gum (poor thing!). I'm going to give them the usual shots for cat flu, and hopefully she'll be a bit less whiny (if that's possible).

Now I'm going to sleep, tomorrow is after all another day!

Legend of the Seeker

Even though the cold has got the better of me, I'm still as prone to nerdyness as I've ever been. Lately I've been streaming Legend of the Seeker, a new fantasyshow about Richard Cypher who is the Seeker of Truth. (Legend's based on Terry Goodkinds books about The Sword of Truth.)

Richard and his two loyal companions; Kahlan Amnell, a confessor and Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, wizard of the first order are united in a quest to defeat the evil lord Darken Rahl. On their quest they are guided by a prophecy that says that the Seeker of Truth will defeat the dark master. To defeat him, Richard has the book of counted shadows that he will decipher with the help of the confessor Kahlan. A confessor comes from an ancient order of magical women. She has the power to make anyone she touches tell the truth, but whoever she "confesses" also loses their free will and is compelled to love and obey her for as long as they live. 

Richard and Kahlan soon develope feelings for eachother, but because of Kahlans gifts, she can never truly be with Richard for the risk of confessing him, which would remove his will to complete his quest. *aaaww*

As you might have guessed, the show satisfies my every need for romance, adventure, medieval chivalry and swordfighting. It comes from the creators of Xena, the warrior princess and Hercules, which it also has strong similarities to but it also resembles Star Wars and even Wheel of Time.

And not only is Legend a great new fantasysaga, it is also shot entirely in New Zeeland, which is famous for it's beautiful environment which is also captured in films as LoTR, the Lion, The Which and The Wardrobe, and so on and so forth...

The show is currently on it's second season. Watch it, that's my tip of the day!

Cold still

It's cold here in Trelleborg. Not as cold as in Älvsbyn, of course. Its about 0 degrees celcius, so I am not complaining on the weather at all. I am talking about my cold. I've pain in my joints, I am tired, confused, dizzy. Some sniffeling is in order too, but my nose is not the big problem here. I'm a trainwreck, so tired I can hardly stand. And tomorrow I am going back to work, cause I have four very important meetings, which I don't want to postpone.

I am going to seek out some warm attire, drink plenty of fluids and get a lot of sleep - starting right now.
